In the recent years, the district’s committee and government are taking more dynamic measures in the agricultural structure-adjustment of the whole district and in the process of speeding up the pace of constructing the urban- oriented agriculture. which has greatly enhanced the economic development of the agriculture industry and the rural area. Now, it has built up & large industrial developing bases which are as follows: special vegetable production base; special aquadric product breeding base: special aquatic fry incubating base: fishing, livestock and paltry production base; the flowering plantsbase the watermelon and muskmelon base: the common lotus base and 2 livestock butchering and processing enterprises. It is planned that in the year 2007, the developing scale of the agricultural products of the whole district will like this:There will be more than 100,000 mu for vegetable production, 165,000 mu for aquatic breeding, 20,000 mu for ecological forest and 20,000 mu for fruits; the production quantity of fruit will peach 4000 ton, 250,000 pigs out of shed, 3,500,000 meat ducks or geese on sale on the market, 3000 cows, 100,000 tons of milk production: the output of cold melon will reach 24,000 tons. In addition to that, 14 agricultural products processing enterprises will be developed and 30 to 35 large or middle supermarkets will be built up to realize the kind of production and running pattern in which peasant housed are leaded by the companies into the market with the integration of trade, industry and agriculture, processing, and sale.
